A decade ago, typography and graphic design in Thailand seems like two distinct entities. They rarely communicate with one another and consequently typographers produced numerous fonts that didn’t satisfy demand at the time, even if it wasn’t evident enough. On the other hand, with the lack of acceptable fonts, graphic designers often find themselves depending on latin typefaces to fashion their designs. We, as a design firm, aim to bridge that gap by servicing and promoting an extensive range of integrated design solutions including custom typeface, lettering, logo font, and graphic design, as well as selling exclusive license to our existing typefaces. Not only do we service type design, we can guide you through the process of using it and drawing out its full potential. And beyond everyday typographic and communication projects, we do offer image planning for aspiring companies as well.
Our list of clients may be long but we are well-known among notable design studios and agencies including Be Our Friend, Color Party, Design Lab, G49, Plan Grafik, Brandity, Creative Juice\G1, Blue Marlin, and Matchbox. We had also worked with leading magazines e.g. 375° by Bakery Music, Adventure & Travel, Arena (Thai Edition), DNA, Image (Plus issue), Men's Health (Thai Edition), MTV TRAX, OOM, Sport 360°, Wallpaper* (Thai Edition). And some of the large organizations and enterprises that used our service includes Advance Info Service Plc., Areeya Plc. (A-Space), CAT Telecome Plc., Dtac Telenor (Thailand), Hakkasan Limited (Busaba Eathai), Thai Beverage Plc., PTT Plc., Siam Sport Publishing Plc., and Tesco (Thailand), Tesco Lotus. Nowadays, when you browse through songs in your music player, read the latest issue of your favorite magazines, glance at the gigantic billboard ads of alcoholic beverages, check your mobile phone bills, or search for the cheapest item offered by a discount store, chances are you have come across our handcrafted Thai fonts.
Aside from the usual business practices, we are active in the education industry, conducting workshops and lecturing in various universities such as Bangkok University and Chulalongkorn University. We also had organized one of the most significant events in the history of Thai typography, BITS (Bangkok International Typographic Symposium), which was presented at Alliance Française de Bangkok with support from ThaiGa (Thai Graphic Designers Association), Goethe Institut Thailande and Japan Foundation Bangkok in 2010. It was the first international typographic conference to be held in Southeast Asia, featuring prominent local and international speakers. The event was strongly supported by ThaiGa and has already been marked as a yearly activity.
We do take our work extremely seriously and craft our designs to the minutest of details. But most importantly, we believe in collaboration, both within and outside our studio. As some of you may have notice, many of our typefaces and designs passed through the hands of several capable and professional designers. This is the way we approach our projects. And we are proud to see things we have done so far being accepted by both local and international design community. Year after year, we aim high to achieve what we started and as the day goes by we will continue to remain as enthusiastic as before, or perhaps more so.
